4/30 - Demo Released Publicly
Hello everyone, this is the first time I am publicly sharing any build of DNN. I have been working on it for almost two years at this point, but it went through a major design change earlier last year, effectively cutting the development process into two distinct halves. The available demo reflects these design changes, giving a glimpse into the 100 Days System that the final game will revolve around. The final release will be experienced through four chapters covering an overarching story, in which you will solve multiple cases relating to a mysterious organization lurking within the island underneath the suspicion of its citizens. During a single chapter, you will have twenty-five days to gather evidence in order to determine the suspect of each individual case. Doing so successfully allows you to interrogate them and determine how the murder was committed -and why they were the only ones who could have done it-. This demo condenses the gameplay loop of a single chapter into around five minutes, so gathering clues is less involved but the experience is quicker than it would usually be. Many things are still changing, including the deduction system, which has already undergone an overhaul, so look forward to new developments in the future.
